What To Expect

If you’ve never been to a camp style unconference, here’s what to expect. At traditional camps, people show up and secure a spot to speak with no previous arrangement; it’s first- come, first-serve.   At HeartCamp, we’re asking speakers to secure a spot ahead of time so we can curate the process.

If you don’t want to speak, it’s easy peasy. Just register, come, observe and enjoy.  Be prepared for a wonderful day full of intelligent and open talk about all matters of the heart. Bring your business cards if you want to network, too.

While we do have official speakers, it is important to note that we are all speakers and sharers at this event.  We encourage you to participate openly and generate discussion even if you are not registered to speak.  Take full advantage of this event. You’ll be in a room with like-minded people!

HeartCamp is not a stuffy conference where someone lords it over at the podium pretending to know everything. While speakers generate the content, they are are also part of a greater collaboration and dialogue.  There is no “I” here.  It’s all about “we” – us sharing our stories and best practices in a casual, relaxed and joyful environment.

While HeartCamp may seem like a woman-focused event, it’s most definitely not limited to women. Yes, it’s the day before Super Bowl, so if you’re a football widow, take the time to make this your day. But regardless, we welcome people of all genders and orientations.
